Information about Wasps in Chesterfield
Wasps have characteristic black and yellow bands on their bodies, with a narrow waist. Their size will vary from 10 to 15mm (workers) to 20mm (queen). Only the females will sting, and this is concealed near the tip of the abdomen.
Signs of Wasps in Chesterfield

Often when a nest is treated the wasps will become aggressive and attack. It is therefore advisable never to treat a wasp nests yourself.
Wasp Nest Removal and Treatment in Chesterfield

If the nest is in the roof I will need to access the loft space to check for the nest and ensure there is no risk to open water tanks or bats. Wearing a protective bee suit an insecticide is sprayed directly into the wasps nest. Depending on where the nest is I may need to use specialist extension poles. Once the nest is treated the wasps will become more active and try to defend the nest. It is advisable to keep all windows and doors closed for several hours until this activity calms down.
